Enzymes are incredibly effective in cleaning pet stains and eliminating odor.

And I know enzymes are fabulous, but I could never explain why.

So I looked into it to get a better understanding.

Pet stains are rich in proteins. These proteins are the main food source for odor-causing bacteria. The bacteria eat the proteins and secrete the infamous odor-causing substances.

Enzymes digest the organic material — the proteins, the bacteria and their odor-causing by-products — by eating them and turning them into inert material, getting rid of the smell and the stain.

PS — while our enzymes do a fantastic job on fresh stains, we know that sometimes stains aren't discovered right away. Sometimes older urine stains leave a yellow discoloration that even really good bacterial enzyme products like ours just won't remove.
